Riding with EEEF

The EEEF afternoon enrichment program is designed for dedicated equestrian students who are committed to ongoing weekly lessons, practice rides, horse showing, and who have the intention of becoming a horse owner.

The Foundation offers an annual scholarship as a way of keeping the costs of riding at a minimum and opening the door widely to every student wishing to take part in the equestrian sport.

The equine program accepts students who wish to move along the equestrian learning spectrum — from a beginner to an advanced rider.
Students are encouraged to learn by participating in all aspects of farm life including care of the horse and farm chores and upkeep. By caring for their mounts, students gain the important skills needed for independent horse ownership.

Farm students also have the opportunity work together with other students to accomplish tasks large and small, as well as, taking lessons, attending local horse shows, participating in field trips and working each year at the Foundation’s annual 5k Horseshoe fundraising run.

Our program meets weekdays from 3:00pm – 6:00pm, with Saturday and Sunday horse shows as scheduled.
